Coach Hunter

Purple belt

Hunter began training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Chicago in 2016 as a way to stay active between tours as a drummer in rock bands.

Since then, he has earned his Purple Belt under Jeff Serafin and developed a passion for teaching. He continues to expand his knowledge by attending seminars and learning from some of the sport’s leading professional grapplers.

Hunter’s goal is to make jiu-jitsu approachable, practical, and rewarding for students at every experience level.

Coach Annie

Blue belt

Annie is a passionate advocate for martial arts and community engagement.

She has been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and combative sports for the last 5 years and has spent her other professional time as a strength and conditioning coach for the last 10.

Annie loves the community element of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and the endless puzzle solving the sport has to offer.

When she's not training or coaching, she can be found chasing her toddler around the gym or helping her wife as the assistant coach for the Manhattan junior rowing crew.

Come train Tuesday.
