Your First Class

No experience, no fitness prerequisite, and nobody expecting you to know anything. Here is exactly how day one goes.

Start Here

Four things to know before you walk in. That is the whole list.

  • Your free two-week trial begins with your first class.
  • Arrive a few minutes early, introduce yourself, and receive a quick tour of the facility.
  • Wear comfortable athletic clothing without metal, plastic, zippers, or hard fasteners.
  • You do not need a Gi or previous martial arts experience.

The easiest class to start with is Tuesday’s Introduction to Grappling at 7:00pm — though every class on the schedule welcomes beginners. Before you come in, it is worth reading how we train: consent, tapping early, and the safety and hygiene rules.

What is a Gi?

A Gi is the uniform traditionally worn for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo training.

Do you train Gi or No-Gi?

Both. The club rotates between Gi and No-Gi training weekly.
